Turmeric &
Curcumin: At times the words 'turmeric'
and 'curcumin' are used interchangeably, but curcumin is only one of the many
active ingredients found in the turmeric plant. In fact, turmeric is known to
contain over 300 phenolic compounds. Typically, the body can absorb up to
2,000mg of curcumin at a given time. Curcumin is the main active enzyme in the
Turmeric plant which offers many internal and external benefits. The more
curcumin a product has means the more potent and powerful it is.
Why
Black Pepper: Black Pepper inhibits certain
digestive enzymes which enhances bioavailability in the body.
Why Bromelain
(Pineapple): Bromelain breaks down
proteins in both acidic and alkaline environments along with improving the
body’s nutrient absorption.
Why Quercetin
(Sophora japonica)(buds): The main enzyme in Dill is
Quercetin. Mixing quercetin with turmeric inhibits the sulfotransferase enzyme
that inactivates curcumin, creating a greater absorption.
